Exfoliants

If you’ve tried our first floor soap you might have noticed that it contains exfoliating beads! These are jojoba beads, and they are completely natural. Jojoba beads are made by hardening jojoba oil into solid wax beads. They are gentle on your skin, and pull double duty by soothing while exfoliating. They are safe for you and the environment.

Many soaps and scrubs contain groundnut shells, or tiny micro-plastics. Think your facial scrubs or exfoliating body washes. Ground nut shells can be jagged and can damage your skin and be too abrasive. Micro-plastic beads are bad for the environment.

A question we receive about our soaps is whether they can/should be used on your face or body. The answer is both. Our cold process soaps are made with natural oils, and your skin is going to love them. You and your skin will get hooked!

Please take the time to take a look through your skin products to check for scrubs made with micro-plastic or anything that isn’t also soothing. Your skin will thank you!
